Usage
*Granactive Retinoid tested at 2%, based on an in vivo study on 3 subjects for 14 days with application twice daily. Individual results may vary.
Apply nightly to cleansed face. If mild irritation or redness occurs, use every other night until skin adjusts. Gradually build to nightly use. Use SPF protection during the day. For external use only.

This was the perfect face serum. First, the serum is not greasy or oily feeling like other serums. Second, it is not a thick or heavy lotion that leads to breakouts. This product really lives up to what it promises! It helped with minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. On my neck, where I have developed the appearance of crepe skin, this serum makes the skin look as if it is younger and has developed a fullness. Definitely, will continue to buy.

Great Product Bad Packaging
The ingredients and overall formula are really nice, however this serum should not have packaging that opens up, i.e. the twist cap and dropper. This product should be sealed and air tight with a secure pump to ensure the product stays stable. Stop playing with us, we are in the era of free information and technology. You cant just throw something at us with a hefty price tag put it in a dark bottle and say its a way of stabilizing the formula... technically it does until the bottle is opened and the product is now exposed to air and light. Stop with the gimmicks and give us something we will love and want to continue to buy. Who wants to by a $130 serum that’s going to reduce in effectiveness every time you open the bottle?? Make it make sense.

I received these two products for free from Influenster. One is good for acne and the other is good for fine lines (My two face issues). I havent had any new breakouts this week and my old acne is clearing up after a week. I am going to continue using. I have sensitive skin and it doesnt itch, burn, cause redness, or cause peeling. It doesnt feel greasy and my face usually feels quite slimy. It smells like black licorice at first but that goes away.

Let me just say....my sensitive skin had been incredibly intolerant to retionoids. *peeling mess* ...but i knew I had to somehow jump on the retinol bandwagon. I started slooowly....with the PTR 1%....small miracles!....stuck with that til the 3% came out....bigger miracles!....now! THIS!...I'm introducing this to my skincare regime (swithcing off with the 3% until my skin becomes acclimated)....but so far, LOVING the results! GAME CHANGER!!

I switched to this form Sunday Riley and i would say i am happy with the switch. This has 10% Granactive Retinoid and 5% hexapeptide complex so its doing a lot for the skin. Its a very watery texture and sinks in immediately after applying. I would recommend giving this a try.

I’ve used Retin-A since I was 40 yrs old. I’m now 80 and only recently did my face let me know it was not happy with my 1.0 strength. I purchased your product several weeks ago and so far, so good. Love the way it feels and it smooths on much easier than straight Retin-A.

I just recently received this product and was so excited. It feels very lightweight on your skin and is very comfortable. I have no noticed a significant difference yet but my skin does feel tighter. I am going to continue to use and will update my review after more uses.

I am 33 yrs old and have combination skin and honestly this serum feels really great on my face! Especially after exfoliating and washing my face. My skin can also be really sensitive with face products, but I havent had any issues with this serum at all. And I like that just a little bit of this goes a LONG way!

I received this as a free gift from Peter Thomas Roth and Sephora. First off, I am not a Peter Thomas Roth fan. I disliked Peter Thomas Roth for such a long time because it would not do anything for my skin. I would tell my friends that I would not recommend the fan because I felt the products were useless. Well, this product proves that I am completely wrong. This serum is probably one of the best serums that I have used in a while. It's an oil serum and instantly melts on your face. This serum melts like butter on my face. I love waking up in the morning with my skin feeling so soft and looking very radiant. A tip for this is that you need to press the serum on your face and neck rather than just rubbing it in. I feel when I press, the my skin absorbs the product better. It has currently replaced my keihl's midnight recovery oil. I have oily skin - very oily skin and this does the job. Makes my skin look very dewy and fresh. The serum has no odor to it so that is a plus. The consistency is an oil. The packing is simple. I love how simple the packaging was on this because it just proves that the what's most important is the product on the inside. Will I buy this product? Definitely yes. I have told my friends that I am finally a Peter Thomas Roth and they just respond with "I told you PTR is good!"

Have been using samples, and I love it!
I am 36, light skinned, and am seeing my age. I saw this product at Sephora and immediately wanted it. I love PTR products, it really is the ONLY line I have found that works with what seems to me is my very difficult skin type. Unfortunately, I am an extremely broke flight attendant...we really do not make much...so I was grateful that Sephora gave me a good sized sample after they noticed how I stared at it longingly for an uncomfortable amount of time. I have used it now the past three nights, and my skin looks and feels fantastic. It is oily, but feels light on my skin. It is a bit thin so applying it out of the tester vials is a bit tricky, but I’m not complaining. I need to cut some food out of my budget next month so I can finally afford to buy it!

I was about to start incorporating retinol into my skin care regimen when surprise, I was gifted the Peter Thomas Roth Pro Strength Retinoid Peptide Serum. I love the consistency, a little goes a long way, and I didn't find it irritating at all. I've only been using it for two days, but I swear my skin looks calmer and feels great!

I love Retin-A in skincare, but I have never found an over the counter product including it that remotely compared to prescription strength ones I've used at the spa I worked until this Peter Thomas Roth Pro Strength Retinoid Peptide Serum from their "PRO Strength" collection. I made sure to manage my expectations, but turns out I didn't need to. This the best non-prescription retinoid product I have ever used. It comes in a bottle and dropper form with a old fashioned medication aesthetic to it. I used a couple drops once every other day to begin with because I wanted to ease in. It took me almost two weeks to get through the "Retinoid Uglies" which included a little patchy redness for me, slight break out, then dry flakey skin and itching. Not fun, but not awful either and it was only temporary. Now that my skin has adjusted, I am really impressed by the results so far. My skin is much smoother with great tone and tighter pores. This is one I'll keep stocked on my vanity for sure. Because this is stronger than most over the counter retinoids, I do want to suggest caution if you're a first time user or if you have sensitive skin. Full disclosure. This item was gifted to me for review, however, whether a product is gifted to me or personally purchased by myself, I always give my honest thoughts.

The texture of this serum is unique. It feels almost like a skin oil, and I noticed my face felt more moisturized in the morning when I woke up. I do wish it was a bit thicker and less runny. There was a slight tingle upon application, but nothing uncomfortable whatsoever. Overall, I'm impressed with this serum and am excited to see how it works out after a few weeks of use! PTR products are some of my favorite things so I was not surprised when I really loved this. I find that just a couple of drops covers my face and neck every night and not a dent has been made in the bottle after 2 weeks. Its smoothing and has definitely improved the feel of my skin. I am going to use every single drop of this stuff and hopefully all the little red or textured spots on my face will be gone.

Impressed!!
My skin is sensitive to some products and my tone is uneven. I have been using this serum every night for a week now and so far I am loving it!! No irritation whatsoever and a wake up in a glowing, brighter skin! Wow!! Too soon to tell if it helps with wrinkles and fine lines but I have to admit that so far I am impressed! I am 42 years old and I have tried A LOT of products. I definitely recommend trying.

I received this product in a VoxBox through Influenster. I have used Peter Thomas Roth products before (masks and such) and had enjoyed them, so I was looking forward to trying out a retinoid product from them! I've had good experiences with retinoids in the past, and this one did not disappoint! My skin felt great after a few days, and it was gentle enough to use for my semi-sensitive skin.

I could instantly feel this product penetrate my skin! I love knowing my skin is healing itself while I am sleeping. When I wake up my skin is glowing, havent worn makeup in 5 days to work since. Ive had a forehead wrinkle forever that refused to go away. Ive used other retinoids, but nothing has ever worked as quickly and as well as this! That wrinkle almost non-existent and my skin is SO soft! I use it 3 nights a week (because its so expensive), but Im so glad Influenster sent me this! Ill definitely be purchasing once I run out!

A little too drying for my skin
I liked the smooth, soft finish at first - then I realized how much it was drying my skin. I’ve been using the retinol LUNA from Sunday Riley without having to really worry about how dry my skin was. It’s very pleasant - don’t get me wrong. But I didn’t notice any life-altering difference from my usual other than the over drying.

Causes Breakouts
Unfortunately for me this has caused me to break out since started it mid march. I also have switched from the 3% and assumed it was purging but after using it every other day for 10 weeks I still am breaking out causing me to think its just not the product for me. Going back to the 3% which I hope you never discontinue!!

Doesn’t work
Purchased this product over two months ago, and was excited to try it after reading the reviews. While my face does have a brighter look to it, it hasn’t helped my wrinkles or addressed aging issues whatsoever. Aside from some light moisturing overnight. This product doesn’t live up to its claims.

Soft, Moisturized Skin
My skin feels incredibly soft immediately after using this serum. And after using it daily for about 3 weeks now my skin is very soft all the time but I'm not sure I see a noticeable reduction in fine lines. I do think my skin is maybe a little brighter but that's so hard to judge.

How does this formula compare in strength vs the Pro 3% retinoid in the silver bottle you carry?

Thank you for contacting us. The texture is very similar and it also contains the hydrating ceramides. The pro retinoid 10% is much more powerful and contains a new technology of 10% retinoid ( which will target the appearance of lines, wrinkles, cell turnover, texture, pores) and it also contains a hexapeptide ( to target lines and wrinkles) It will deliver results even faster than the 3% formula.

I've noticed that my (this) serum has turned yellow. Does that mean it's expired? Less effective? I know that other retinoids lose their strength when they yellow. Is this product somehow different? Thanks
Thank you for contacting us. Peter Thomas Roth PRO Strength Retinoid Peptide Serum naturally has a pale yellow color coming from 10% Granactive Retinoid and 5% Hexapeptide Complex. All retinoids are naturally yellow. But majority of Retinoid/Retinol products in the market use them at very low level (less than 0.3%), which is why their products do not show yellow color when they are fresh. These ingredients become dark brown when they go bad. At very low level, these dark brown color appears to be yellow.

Can you use this in the same routine with the PRO strength discoloration treatment? In the questions section of that product, there's two responses saying that you can, but then in the questions section of this retinoid, it says that you cannot.

“Apply nightly...” apply how much?
Hi, thank you for contacting us. 2-3 droplets should be enough, if you are dropping the serum into your hand it's about the size of a pearl to the size of a dime to cover your face and neck.
