Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dissapointed I am disappointed that the Beta Hydroxy Acid 2% Acne Wash has been discontinued, and this is the replacement. I have been using the BHA cleanser for over 10 years, and I don't know what I will do without it. I'm not sure why this needed a change, when it seemed to have been a very popular product over the years. The new packaging is also cheap looking. I've contacted your customer care before asking what the exact differences were in the two products, and what the new benefits were, but I never received a reply. I hope that this lives up to the past products that I've used, but I'm sad to see my face wash go. For now, I'll use my old BHA cleanser that I've stockpiled..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver I’ve been using this product since December 2017. In 2 weeks my acne was 75% better. I left the first bottle I bought at a hotel and in 3 days my acne was back. But I got more and 3 days later it was gone. I had TERRIBLE breakouts. Like painful red and cystic. I have super oily skin. This product does an amazing job of drying it up. I have noticed that if I used too much product my skin get too dry. But a good hyaluronic moisturizer (which they also have) will help the dryness. I use about a dime-nickle sized amount of this product everyday in the shower. It lathers up really well so if you use more than that it’ll be way too much. It’s a huge bottle so it’s going to last a long time if you’re worried about the price. It’s well worth the price. I highly recommend this product. If it gets discontinued I will be suing for emotional distress. You can get this product at Sephora like I did. I really hope this review helps. This product changed my life.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed! I absolutely loved the Beta hydroxy acne wash that was discontinued, it helped keep my acne in control. I bought this version and it does nothing to keep the acne at bay. It doesn't even clear my breakups fast like the beta hydroxy. So disappointed this is the replacement.

HI! What is the maximum amount of times I can use this product in a day? Can I use it three times a day? Thanks!

Dear CharRose, We generally recommend that cleansers can be used once or twice daily depending on your skin type. This product is gentle. However, if excessive dryness occurs, please reduce your daily usage.

I currently use the BHA 2% Acne Wash (grey bottle), like many others in the reviews. Why is this new wash replacing the old BHA wash? Will it come back? This one isn't oil free? is this due to the castor oil in the formula, or does it contain other oils?

Asked by: ngraz
Dear ngraz, Thank you for contacting us. The Acne Clearing Wash did replace the BHA Cleanser. Acne Clearing Wash is not oil free, but it is alcohol free.

Hello, I currently was using the beta hydroxy acid 2% acne wash in the transparent grey bottle from Peter Thomas Roth but it looks as though you guys do not carry it anywhere anymore. Is this white bottle the same one just improved? Also is it oil free?

Asked by: nessa
Dear Nessa, While both products are suited for the treatment of acne and blackheads, there are subtle differences in the experience of these products. BETA HYDROXY 2% ACNE WASH is gentle and fragrance free; this product is also discontinued. ACNE CLEARING WASH is a deeper cleaning, citrus based fragrance The core components of these products are the same: 2% Salicylic Acid (BHA) – OTC level chemically exfoliates to clear up, treat and prevent acne and blackheads. Allantoin – helps to calm the appearance of skin. Pro Vitamin B5 – helps condition and nourish the look of skin.

I was wondering about the pH of the acne clearing wash. Also, is it possible to get the ingredients lists in order of quantity as opposed to alphabetical order? I want to know how much sodium chloride is in this as I can only tolerate it in small amounts.

Asked by: mshl_meow
Dear msh_meow, Thank you for contacting us. The PH is 4.2-4.7. We are unable to disclose percentage of any ingredients unless it is listed on the packaging.
