I have this 3% retinoid plus serum... What EXACTLY is the difference between this and the new version? Which is the more effective product, and why was it changed?

Asked by: MissJoni
Dear MissJoni, Thank you for contacting us. Our new PRO strength has an increased amount retinoid and we are using Granactive Retinoid that is super powerful yet gentle enough to be used under the eye area! We packed it with a Hexapeptide to help with fine lines and wrinkles. It’s absolutely a level up!

Do I use the 3% Retinoid before or after toner? Can I still use serum and moisturizer? will you please advise the steps?

Asked by: Jtango
Hello and thanks for contacting us. If you are using a toner, serum and moisturizer they will be applied in that order. Step 1 - Cleanse your face. Step 2 - Toner. Step 3 - Serum*. Step 4 - Moisturizer. *The Pro Strength Retinoid Serum is for night time use only. We recommend you use a different serum for the 4th step in your morning routine.

Is this product being discontinued? And if so, when? How is it different from your other retinol/retinoid serums? This one is great for my sensitive skin and absorbs much better on me than others I’ve tried. Thank you!

Is this an oil or no, oils dont really seem to absorb in my skin that well so i feelboily all night till i wipe it off. So is it oily or a lotion

Asked by: Brenda62
Dear Brenda62, Thank you for contacting us. Professional Strength 3% Retinoid Plus base is a silicone that acts as an emollient. The texture is very runny- similar to an oil, it is not a lotion texture.

how long do I have to wait after application to put moisturizer?

Asked by: Estefania
Dear Estefania, Thank you for contacting us. You can certainly apply a moisturizer after this product. You can wait up to a minute after applying this product. Our team advises applying our products on a thinnest-to-thickest basis. It's best to allow each layer to dry and absorb into your skin before applying the next product. Generally, serums will be applied first, followed by moisturizers.

Is this actually 3.0%? or is it 0.3%? I ask because I've heard repeatedly that anything over 1.0% requires a prescription, and obviously this does not require a prescription. Thanks for clarifying!

Dear MCWDLS, Thank you for contacting us. We are unable to disclose the percentage. Our Retinoid do not require a prescription.

Asked by: Kish
Dear Kish, Than you for contacting us. While this product can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, it does not claim to unclog pores. We would recommend an exfoliating product and targeted treatment for the hyperpigmentation. Please call 1-800-787-7546 for further assistance

How does this compare to the Retinol Fusion PM, as in its 1.5% microincapsulated retinol vs the Professional Strength 3% Retinoid. Why would someone choose one over the other?

Asked by: Rio8
Dear Rio8, Thank you for contacting us. Retinol Fusion PM is a gentler way to get the daily dose of retinol, it works throughout the night with continuous bursts of retinol. 3% Retinoid is stronger dose of vitamin A, not time released but has a complex of skin-loving lipids to help moisturize at night. Whichever you decide to use, please make sure to apply SPF in the morning!

I'm unsure if I should try this or the Retinol Fusion PM. I'm not reactive to retinols/retinoids and have a very oily T-Zone with noticeable pores around my nose. Periodic breakouts on my forehead. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Asked by: Shane
Dear Shaner, We would confirm that the Retinol Fusion PM is the gentler version, containing 1.5% of micro-encapsulated retinol. Similar to the Professional Strength 3% Retinoid Plus, these serums will help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The 3% product delivers retinoid (a derivative of retinoic acid) directly onto the skin all at once; it is not encapsulated like our Retinol Fusion PM. It is stronger and possibly more effective for some concerns. As it is another form of retinol entirely, it can help skin that is less aided by traditional retinols. If you have sensitive skin, we would ask that you start with Retinol Fusion PM. If not, you can go for the Professional Strength 3% Retinoid Plus.

How do i apply this

Asked by: Nona
You want to apply this product nightly to cleansed face. A few drops on a cotton pad ought to do the trick, or directly onto your fingers is OK as well. If mild irritation or redness occurs, use every other night until skin adjusts and you can gradually build to nightly use. Be sure to use SPF protection during the day!
